Laser Tag Game Formats

We play multiple game formats at Laser Rock that appeal to both the novice and advanced player.  When a player gets tagged, their vest flashes on and off for 6 seconds and then the player is activated again.

Power-ups: For both novice and advanced games, players can earn bonus points and power-ups by tagging secondary targets within our arena called GEMS.  Powers include invisibility, mega-power, rapid fire, nebulizer and invulnverability.  Our staff will coach players on how to earn these special powers.

Team Bases: The entire arena is based upon the four elements: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water - which correspond to the color of each team.  The Wind Base (Yellow Team) produces a mini tornado effect to ward off players.  The Fire Base (Red Team) has a surprise protector that is not for the faint at heart!   The Earth Base (Green Team) has a giant tree inspired from the Great Tree of  Avatar.  The Water Base (Blue Team) has Poseidon's Temple where one must not wake the giant God of The Oceans.

Game Types:

"Capture the Flag":  Up to four teams can play whereby each team attempts to capture the opponents base while simultaneously protecting their own base.

"Infection":  A deadly disease has infected one player and it is highly contagious, turning them into the red team.  Once the infected player tags a healthy player (Green Team), the healthy player immediately gets infected and turns red.  There is no cure for this infliction and once all players have become infected, the games start again and the last player infected stays red and everyone else is healthy again.  The last player infected always gets extra bonus points.

"Domination":  In this game, each team must hold as many GEMS as possible for as long as possible to earn lots of team bonus points.  Once a player has tagged a GEM, it turns to the color of the players team and the team earns bonus points for as long as it continues to be their color.

"Highlander":  In this game, the object is to capture all seven GEMs in the proper order which are randomly assigned a level, starting with one.  Capturing the Level 1 GEM earns a player 50 bonus points and each subsequent level doubles in value.  Level 2 is worth 100, Level 3=200, Level 4=400, Level 5=800, Level 6=1600 and Level 7=3,200 points!
